here is a fun little personality test
http://drawapig.desktopcreatures.com/drawApig.asp
Here's my drawing.
What my pig says about me:
Toward the middle, you are a realist.
Facing left, you believe in tradition, are friendly, and remember dates (birthdays, etc.)
With many details, you are analytical, cautious, and distrustful.
With 4 legs showing, they are secure, stubborn, and stick to their ideals.
The size of the ears indicates how good a listener you are. The bigger the better. You drew medium sized ears, you are a good listener
The length of the tail indicates the quality of your sex life. And again more is better! You drew medium sized tail.
more of the same old thing...
I am currently enrolled at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario working towards a BA in Child & Youth Studies with a minor in German. This semester I have undertaken the challenge of 6 courses (they're listed with brief descriptions at the end of this post). Right now I am in my second year of the program with the intention of finishing it and then heading to teacher's college.
Between attending classes, reading textbooks/articles, doing homework and working part-time, life is definitely busy and tends to fall into a routine of daily activities. And, of course, when your routine doesn't change, it feels like you have nothing to write about. Anyhow, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it...
Until next time...

winter is here
Life has been pretty good. Busy, but good. Wes and Briar traveled to Florida with their family and mom and dad flew to join them. So, Gary and I were home alone. Between our work schedules and my school schedule, you'd never guess there were two of us in our house. Everyone is back now, so that's good.
Last weekend (Jan 14) we had our first real taste of winter for this year. On Monday morning everything was covered with an inch of ice. It made for a lot of work trying to scrape the car and it made driving conditions pretty slick. But it also made everything beautiful. The snow on the ground was all sparkly and the trees glinted and glistened in the sunshine and looked like glass. Tuesday night as I was leaving Brock, the lights reflecting on the trees made them look like silver and gold against the night sky. It was gorgeous.
The crazy thing with this weather is that we've been waiting for the cold snap so that we could get the ice wine harvest and pressing going, but with all the ice we still can't pick even though it's cold enough.
Anyhow, all the beauty reminded me of a song that I really enjoy. So, here are the lyrics...
fun trivia about me and TV
My favourite reruns (not including my favourite TV shows) are:
My favourite late night talk show:
My favourite theme song:
Rawhide and Bonanza
They are both just really fun to sing.
Title: "Rawhide"
Written By: "Ned Washington"
Performed By: "Frankie Laine"
Though they're disapprovin',
Keep them doggies movin' Rawhide!
Don't try to understand 'em,
Just rope and throw and grab 'em,
Soon we'll be living high and wide.
My heart's calculatin'
My true love will be waitin',
Be waiting at the end of my ride.
Move 'em on, head 'em up,
Head 'em up, move 'em out,
Move 'em on, head 'em out Rawhide!
Set 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, let 'em out,
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in Rawhide...
Title: "Bonanza"
By: "Ray Evans and Jay Livingston"
If anyone fights anyone of us, he's gotta fight with me!
We're not a one to saddle up and run ... Bonanza!
Anyone of us who starts a little fuss, knows he can count on me!
One for four
Four for one,
This we guarantee.
We got a right to pick a little fight ... Bonanza!
If anyone fights anyone of us, he's gotta fight with me!
